How to get to Aranjuez

Aranjuez is a town on the banks of the River Tajo, to the south of Autonomous Community of Madrid. Aranjuez is connected to Madrid both by train (30 minutes only) and bus (45 minutes).

Arriving in Madrid

The Barajas International Airport is conveniently located within 30 minutes of downtown of Madrid.

Travel To/From the Airport via Metro and Rail (Renfe Cercanias)

The cheapest way to get from the Airport to Aranjuez is via Metro - Rail (Renfe Cercanias). We suggest follow next steps to go to Aranjuez from Barajas Airport:

The cheapest way to get from the Airport to Aranjuez is via Metro (subway) plus Renfe Cercanias (urban railway) .

Metro connects Barajas Airport and Atocha, the main train station, by line 8 also called the pink line. You can take the subway in station "Aeropuerto" to station "Nuevos Ministerios". In "Nuevos Ministerios" station you can change to the local rail (Renfe Cercanías) and buy the ticket to go to Aranjuez . Trains to Aranjuez leave from Atocha Station, so you could take any of the lines C-1, C-2, C-7 or C-10 at platforms 3 or 4 in "Atocha" direction. In Atocha station you can transfer to the train to Aranjuez without buying other ticket (be carefull not to get out of the station). Trains to Aranjuez depart every 15 minutes and are taken in platform 4, line C-3. Just follow the signs and you'll find it. So just get on a train going in the "Aranjuez" direction and get off at the last stop.
